Amazing show!

Only negative is being that they didn't include any of the Castlevania music. Music that in questionably some of the best in video game history.

If you're not a virginal gamer nerd is it still worth watching?

Tough to say, some pretty strong nerdvirgin vibes going on. If you like gothic, dark, and medieval atmosphere and classic horror tropes then yes. Or maybe those are in and of themselves virginal gamer nerd things.

4 episodes at 25 min a pop is shorter than the average movie though. I vote yes.

I'm no gaming nerd or comic book reader. However, I played the original Castlevania as a kid on my NES and was a bit intrigued so I gave it a watch. This show was AWESOME. It's definitely not for kids as there's cursing and tons of gore. But the story is great and the animation is really good too. I'm looking forward to season II.

Very strange show. Clearly just an animated movie just chopped up into 4 segments. The Ellis trademark writing was disgustingly obvious. haha. I couldn't quite take this seriously. It was everything I wanted. More animation in the vein Vampire Hunter D. Great characters. Great story. I fucking loved it. But i'm not sure I liked it. lol. I'm complicated.

Yes I beat this game on the old NES system. I also loved and beat the Wizards and Warriors!! I would love to play these games again. I remember going to a camp and they had Castlevania on an arcade game platform. That was so hard to play compared to the NES system platform...

I've never heard of this show or played the game I've stumbled upon it blind. Two episodes in and so far it's surprisingly good. Really enjoying it.

I could not get into this show. I watched the first episode and hated everything about it. I hated Dracula being sympathetic and that an athiest woman befriends him and that she is killed by an entire town of Christian Extremists because she is a follower of Dracula and for being an athiest and a scientist. Then Dracula rightfully sends his minions to destroy those bad Christian Extremists who aren't likable at all. It feels like the writers were a bunch of anti Christian athiests who can't stand that anyone believes in God and Jesus.

And this from a video game series where Dracula has almost always been a completely evil unsympathetic villain. I cannot fathom why they'd adapt it that way. Maybe the majority of people can accept those things but I cannot.
