Who else had a problem with the ending??? (spoilers)

So here's my thoughts while I viewed.

I remembered the loud piano noise scene and realised that he would eventually be the ghost haunting himself and his girl.

Then it happened.

My next thought was "he will use his ability to physically touch things to prevent his own death."

All of a sudden, he's dead again, and there is a 2nd ghost? Why would there be a 2nd ghost? You can only have one soul right?

I found that to be weird. It was definitely thought provoking (which is always good) but also a bit strange.

My next thought was that we'd see the room FILLED with ghosts.

Well, for your last point one ghost always finds the note and disappears. So it will always loop in the same way.

The rest really is open to interpretation. But the sentiment is time is cyclical - as spouted by the balding fellow and as we witness. So I guess we all live our lives over and over unless we miss the rainbow portal - then we are in a loop forever. My take away is basically don't eat a whole pie by yourself.

I loved the ending! The ghost reads her note, and he is released. This movie is sad, mesmerizing and beautiful. 8.5/10!

2nd ghost:

He's dead so he is beyond time and space and should be able to be in more than one 'place' at the same time. It's just hard for us to comprehend because we are anchored in time and space

I would think he would be able to see himself though unless his mind goes into complete denial (which is also why he didn't 'pass on' until he read the note)
