Ode to Tuco

Did no one notice the hurried re-enactment of the famous scene from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly where Tuco goes into a gun shop, takes apart several Colt 1851's and somehow is able to magically assemble a revolver better than the hand fitted Colt? It was a much sillier and more contrived version. Colt barrels don't go on Remington frames and it wouldn't have solved his problem anyway.

Otherwise a pretty good shoot `em up movie. All the story died with the first one.

Wasn't there a Tuco in Breaking Bad? - did no search

reply

Yes, but the name was the only commonality I caught.

I think in Spanish it's short for something, as Chuy is short for Jesus.

reply

I caught that, though it seemed contrived, as you point out.

Tuco's scene was more fun... but then, that was Eli Wallach.
