Another amazing -42.4 drop predicted by Deadline Hollywood! By far the BIGGEST surprise this summer at the box office!

Aladdin $24.68M (-42.4)

Oh my goodness, this movie will just not stop lighting up the box office. You have direct family competition in terms of Secret Life of Pets 2, and yet this is still cleaning up the box office. Not to mention this is also dominating overseas against the heavy competition. Wow..

I think this is going to end up being by far the biggest surprise this summer. Detective Pikachu, Godzilla, Secret Life of Pets 2, Dark Phoenix have either underwhelmed or flopped with Men in Black international likely to follow. It really is unfair for Disney to place massive tentpoles a month from each other(Toy Story 4/The Lion King next) and just gobble up the competition but that's how you stay at the top as the biggest and most profitable studio out there.

Yeap, another 'surprise' from Disney: Black Panther, Captain Marvel, now Aladdin...

All those 'surprises' have some common pattern:

- They are from Disney
- They promote heavily Diversitarian agenda.

And specially:
- Disney doesn't look very thrilled when it comes to sequels, even though that's the usual behavior when a movie makes several times its budget. A movie making 3-4 times its budget greenlights the sequel.

...however, it took months to greenlight Black Panther (5-6 times its budget). Captain Marvel sequel hasn't been greelighted, even it made (supposedly) 7 times its budget, the absolute record in Marvel. And Aladdin is has almost reached (supposedly) 3 times its budget in only 2 weeks, but not a single word about any sequel though.

Fishy, fishy, fishy, fishy, fishy....

Marvel Phase 4 announcements around the corner at Comic Con and D23. Stay tuned for some exciting news :)

I don't think anyone is expecting an Aladdin sequel in the sense that nobody is expecting a Beauty and the Beast sequel even though that also made bank.

Mmmmmmm.

Now excuse me while I go laugh at the once confident “this is going to bomb” naysayers. Muahaha....
