The term "conservative" in this context is inaccurate. This is about people who defend and promote western culture and population vs people who defend and promote African culture and ethnic groups.

Of course, since western people used to live in western countries, you can label people who defend them as "conservative", and people who aim to replace them as "progressive". But if we were talking about Africa, the labels would reverse, the "progressives" here would be "conservatives" there, since they would aim to "conserve" the existing cultural and ethnic status quo in Africa (black majority).

It's better to use terms as "pro-western" vs "pro-african" label in these cases, that describe the positions much better.
