Mr. Kim is by far the worst character in the show

This show has grown on me. I started watching it on an Air Canada flight and I thought it was OK but not worth following it every week. Some time later I caught a new episode, liked it a little better, and started watching it regularly. Now I look forward to every new episode, and always have a few good laughs. The thing is though, I find Mr. Kim (and his wife) almost painfully unfunny to watch. Janet and Gerald are funny, Jung and Kimchee and especially Shannon are funny, but the title character? They could get rid of him and it would be a great improvement!

To me, he's not the title character since there are four Kims.
But I don't find him the worst character. Actually, this is one of the only shows that, for me, doesn't have a worst character. They're all likable and funny.

Umma and Appa are the best part of the show! Especially in this new season, I find they are by far the funniest!

I wrote the original post two years ago. My opinion has changed a little bit favourably towards Appa and Umma but I still much prefer Janet, Jung, Kimchee and Shannon.

No, Mr Kim is great. Gerald is the worst character, milquetoast 20-something.
