This movie worked so well because there was no big star so you didn't know who would make it and who wouldn't. Paradoxically, if, say, Sylvester Stallone was in it with any 4 of the others, the movie would've gotten more press but it wouldn't have worked because there would never be any doubt about who the hero would be...

Really? Did you think the mean rich guy stood a chance? It was obvious the black girl wouldn't be killed, and we wouldn't have both females survive so the white girl wouldn't make it either. I would only not be sure between the two white guys, although one was shown being 'killed' at the beginning which made it suspicious.
