Thoughts?

I thought it was good but I got a bit bored half-way through and then it picked up again and got good. Probably won't have the same impact as the first but if you liked the first, it's more of what you expect.

Domino was so sexy it was almost unfair.

Needed more Terry Crews.

I would have to agree with you there on Domino. Same with Terry Crews. I was expecting the "X-Force" team to play a bigger part.

I would say that boredom was the last thing I experienced while watching it. I enjoyed the hell out of it from start to finish. Though I concur it might not make the same overall impact as the first (that’s a bit of an unrealistic expectation, the first was “kinda” groundbreaking), DP2’s marketing and the movie’s humor itself felt fresh and somehow more inventive than its predecessor, imo. Not to mention the many surprises the movie packs (lol at the X-Force) are rather brilliant.

To sum it all up, DP2 is just like the first movie... only it’s funnier, crazier, far more action-packed (the action is superior in this one), and strangely moving. And holy shit, the BIG X-Men cameo, Brad Pitt as Vanisher, and the mid-credits scenes were too good for words!

After thinking the movie over a bit I think I just had some issues with the lack of focus on what story exactly was being told. The movie felt like it had 5 movies going on at once in my opinion. I also disliked the abysmal CGI during the X-Force/convoy scene when Domino was running in the street before jumping onto the convoy (it took me out of the experience completely).

Other than that, I wish Vanessa had more to do in the movie and I didn't really like how after everything Cable went through and all he had learned, that he would just stay in the timeline with Deadpool instead of going home or finding a way to get back home after saving him. It felt very out of character and while I really liked the after the credits scenes, I found it kind of made the whole movie pointless because DP goes back in time to fix most of the events of the movie. To be fair, we don't know if those scenes actually effect the events of the movie or if they were just doing silly jokes or not but it did make the movie feel pointless and it is pointless if everything was fixed in the timeline.

SPOILERS____________

just got back from seeing it...

I left fully satified.....but with the opinion its a clear step down from DP1

Most surprising to me were The Action sequences...John Wick is my all time favorite Action movie....no words can express the respect I have for the directors of that film(One of which directed DP2)

I cant believe it, But The action scenes in DP2 for me werent even as close to Great as they were in DP1....theres MORE action in DP2 but Not better action

Cable was also just good to me....He was in no way disappointing, But also there was never a single point where I was blown away or truly Excited with him....I love Brolin and consider him one of the best actors working today...Maybe my expectations were just a little too high, still liked him and look forward to him in X-Force

Completely GUTTED by this decision to Kill Vanessa in The first 10 mins...I read all the reported about Awful test screening how everyone Hated this decision, Fox didnt some reshoots, I was hoping they changed this....but instead they just added a post credit scene where she can come back in Future films...Deadpool and Vanessa IMO are the best Couple ever created in a superhero film...In really sucks they killed her in the first 10 mins...

I loved Domino...Thought she was a scene stealer...I loved TNW...would have LOVED for her to have a bigger role....I loved The Look of The Juggernaut, I liked The fight between him and Colossus(Just have been better though)

and by far the single greatest moment in the film and Maybe a top 3 moment in CBM history was the Plane Jump and Death sequences...MY GOD whoever thought of this and wrote it is a damn genius...

wasnt I fan of the ending, the fake dying then Dying and cable going back 10 mins(Id much rather him go back to when Vanessa got killed so DP could have stopped it) but that would have basically meant the entire movie didnt happen...

Post credit scenes were a masterpiece...

for me I rate DP2 a 8.5/10.....DP1 is 9/10 for me and ran ked as my 7th favorite CBM of all time...

DP2 is A Very good CBM, With some incredible moments and some underwhelming moments....all in all I left Happy with it
