we will hear more about the tickler, won't we?

Because that story line felt incomplete, and I don't see why they would have even bothered to include it unless there is some kind of continuation.

holden saw the principal exiting the grocery store with a bottle wine, looking disheveled

i guess you missed that scene
?

reply

I probably didn't at the time, but that still doesn't tell us anything.

it tells us that his story isn't done. the wife came haranguing, the tickler is on a bender

clearly the last shoe hasn't been dropped.

the tickler is there to illustrate an early-stage offender. he is now accumulating 'stressers'

he's going to act out in some way, is my expectation, which will demonstrate the 'predictive'
utility of profiling.

reply

Ah, I see. That would be good.

They never did get back to him! Unforgivable! Although I do wonder if that comment about tickling in the context of S&M was a nod.

I hope the writers are letting the character "marinate" until he progresses to actual crimes, because otherwise there was no point to the whole story line about him, and this is a series that seems to be carefully crafted.

Just wish they didn't take so long between seasons...

reply

Doubtful as he wasn't anything major in the books. They basically covered his "story" and everything that was gone over in the book.
They included it for filler, I assume.

reply

Filler? It's an interesting sideline and certainly worthy of inclusion in my book. Can't all have monster of the week scenes now can we?
