Too serious. Not Orville or original Star Trek quality.

Even the original Star Trek had quite a bit of humour from the captain getting the girl to bones poking fun of spock; these guys are making the mistake of the very first Star Trek the motion picture which was all about special-effects. Thankfully somebody went back and turned an episode of the original Star Trek into a movie the wrath of Khan and Star Trek lived. But I think it's going to die with the show.

I must admit it has not been holding my interest. I keep flipping back to Fear the Walking Dead!

reply

I was flipping to a nature show whenever I saw the Klingons because they make me laugh. What a mess.

reply

It is a mess! Did you know this is a "streaming" show? I already pay for cable. I'm not paying more money to watch this show! Are you going to stream it?

reply

We stopped paying cable years ago. Just internet. I'm limited in time for TV shows so I think I won't be streaming it.

reply

Ahhh . . . . I'm still paying for cable. I've been w/Directv for so long that I get a lot of "deals" and "special offers" to cut down on the cost, but yeah . . . I won't be streaming this. I'll try to catch it on DVD from the library. LOL! But those Klingons are soooo off-putting, I don't know if I will watch even on DVD.

I'm on the free week of CBS All Access and the first two episodes do not give me any reason to sign up. For example as mentioned: the Klingons.

LOL! I would never have believed that of the two shows premiering this month, The Orville would be the better one!!!

reply

LOL! Sooooo true!
