The Rift Between Scott & Hope/Hank Was Dumb.

That's part of this movie that I didn't like or understand. Why was there ever a falling out between Scott & Hope (Especially since they were hitting it off as romantic interests) & Hank is something I don't get. True , he couldn't see or associate with them as part of his parole, that I get, & that makes sense but the way they wrote it into the script was kind of dumb.

Scott after all did the right thing, he wasn't going on some criminal venture, he went to help out Cap, & the rest of his crew for the right reasons, take a stand against tyranny, for peoples rights. Why would Hope & Hank not be anything other than proud of him for what he risked his life & freedom to do? I'm sure both Hope & Hank would have been opposed to the mutant/superhero registration act too.

Yes I do understand Hank being upset about the suit but to have them angry at the guy & not speak for at least a couple of years was lazy writing I think. 2 years is too long to decide to pick up the phone & resume any kind of relationship with someone, at least I think so.
How do the rest of you feel about this?

I think it was realistic. He took the suit to help Cap, who was labeled a fugitive, without telling them, and they got in trouble for it without playing any part in it because it was Hank's technology. They lost their freedom and their dignity, and were also labelled fugitives. I would be pissed too.

Not really.

Yes Scott had good intentions, but like it was already mentioned he ultimately went behind Hope & Hank’s back and consequently they got into some big trouble thanks to him. As far as they were concerned, Scott’s actions were a betrayal, so being upset (to put it mildly) with him only made sense. Add the fact that Hank wouldn’t be the type of person to be at all pleased to hear that his technology was used to both help AND fight Stark’s mighty friends, and it’s not hard to fathom why he was particularly pissed with the new/former Ant-Man.

I like that they cut ties with Scott after he helped Cap. Why? Watching them patch things up was satisfying. And if a simple phone call was all it took for them to reconnect with Scott, well then I buy it. The purpose for the call is the important thing, and in Scott’s case, what he had to say was a big deal.
