Spiros

I assume the potential romance between Spiro and Louisa in the show is complete whimsy, and in real life Spiros was a good family friend, nothing more. However given the storyline, when are they going to address the issue of his hidden family? It's just so weird that he would never bring his family to visit his closest friends, and his wife must know how much he's been hanging out with Louisa, given the small community. It's the one thing that really bugs me. I want them to get together, but a man who hides his wife can't be the good man that Spiro seems to be in the show. Nobody else mentions his family either.

He doesn't have a family. He said in one episode - the people in the picture in his car are the Greek royal family.

I thought she said in the last episode (S0206) that he was a family man, and I think he was kidding about the picture. I'm sure that he's mentioned his family before.

Spiro did have a family.

I got that when he said his wife had left him.

I suppose as the book was written from the childhood memories of Gerald Durrell, it is possible they had an affair (we can dream) as he would not know all the details of what the adults did in private...

This is a cute idea. Get it Luisa!
