Nolan is a terrible overrated filmmaker. The 5 minute tracking sequence from Atonement was a better Dunkirk depiction than this was. Bunch of soldiers standing around idly for the arrival of ten boats. Lame.

shareI agree Nolan dropped the ball on this one as he did with Tenet, but until Dunkirk he was making some of the greatest movies ever made.
shareNot a bad movie by a long shot, however I feel like it could've been done by any other renowned director, and it would still be a good movie. Nolan makes great sci-fi movies, but clearly he adds nothing to real life stories, same with Oppenheimer.
