I assume he must have killed the young man as well as the child on the swing. Did he do the dog in, too? I know there was only ONE suitcase thrown in the hole he dug, but he removed three others. I wonder who those victims were.

The other suitcases contained a condor, a dolphin and a couple of kittens.

I thought it was implied he took the younger kid while his older (brother I guess) was gone in the woods looking for the dog.
