Shouldnt Maisie hide under the bed?
or at least cover herself completely with the blanket?
As kids our biggest fear is that some monster will climb through the windows in silence and slowly creep up on us as we sleep... we all have that strange idea that a bed cover tugged in can protect us... I think this is what the storyteller went for :) wanted to rekindle our youthful irrational fear.
