How in Hell Was This Cancelled?

On the Amazon Prime site, after only being available to viewers for a few months, this show has over 20 thousand ratings and has earned close to five stars.

In contrast the first season of Transparent, from 2014, has 35 thousand ratings but after 2 1/2 years. It's ratings are also good, granted.

But I fail to understand why Good Girls Revolt has been cancelled so quickly while Transparent, which, in my opinion has been highly over-rated, was given two more seasons.

I really hope another network picks up GGR and produces it. It's too damn good to lose.

My gripe is that the whole series of episodes led up to the "revolt" with nothing after. That is cheating the viewers. If they were not going to continue the series then they should have used the last episode to achieve some sort of closure, at least to indicate how everything that was depicted influenced women's rights in succeeding years.

We were cheated.

The creators of the show had a second season planned, and offered it to Amazon.

It's Amazon who cheated you by cancelling it, not the show's staff.

Good Girls Revolt. We REALLY like it.
My wife and I find it to be one of the best things to watch.
By comparison, We like it far better than "Mad Men"
We want to encourage Amazon or anyone to continue with this series.

For reference we don't like transparent, we do like "High Castle".
My point being we have a range of views and this show seems so compelling.

There is nuance here. Reasons to pursue their cause and other reasons not to. Please continue!!!

I hope to high heavens some other outlet picks up this series, because it's fantastic! The fact that amazon cancelled it makes me think hard about cancelling my Prime membership. Very frustrating.

Just make a movie that makes me care, one way or another. I'm open.

It never fails. A good show comes along refreshing and with good writing and they decided to cancel it!! It's so screwed up!! There were so many places to go with the storylines. I really hope that Netflix picks this one up because it would not be a good fit on network tv.

Is the filming normal? Sometimes I don't even see faces. I know some directors film this way but it drives me nuts.

Other Amazon originals you might like are Shuteye and Sneaky Pete

Why is Amazon Prime streaming this when they cancelled the second season so it is an unresolved story. Do they sell halves of books too? Rip off, bait and switch nonsense.
