It's a matter of taste. Both actresses are beautiful in their own way.
Blake Lively might be "hotter" than Stewart, but that's not the only thing some men are attracted to, believe it or not.
After seeing Lively in The Shallows, there is no way I would ever choose Stewart over her. AND I dare say, she proved to have far more range in that little Jaws wannabe of a thriller.
shareI was just thinking that myself. Kristen's character is damaged goods. Blake was adorable, beautiful, glamorous and sexy. Lively is a 10 in this movie. Stewart is a 6 or 7.

shareFor looks? No contest, Blake is the statuesque winner. For personality? I'm not sure there, either, because in Cafe Society, Lively was just as charming and sweet as Stewart appeared to be - to me, anyway.
But "to me" is the key.
The movie's not about me, it's about Bobby. Bobby was an impressionable young man when he headed west and met this cool chick who he could relate to and hang out with. She and he bonded over movies and snide barbs aimed at the vapid elites of Hollywood. They had a lot in common, and they had history, and she was The One That Got Away, and an aggregate of characteristics - plus she is charming and good looking and witty and everything else Lively's Other Veronica had going for her - and so Bobby couldn't let her go.
