Greater symbolism spoilers!

I'm thinking the ending might be a symbolic part of a film elaborated earlier when John met the sister. She said something along the lines of "are you afraid of damnation?" And referred to Wick as Deaths apprentice or something like that. Winston has a strange moment where he gets literally everyone to stop with a simple text almost instantly. I'm thinking the symbolism is that Winston is in fact the devil himself, and damnation (3rd movie) is coming. This is why the last scene shows John running completely scared,

Winston also said something to the effect of his house is his and his alone. No one has any say there.

I'm sure Wick was running scared at the end because every hit men/women in the world was getting ready to kill him. :)

In all seriousness, this kind of symbolism feels played out. But I do think there's some truth to it and it could make for some interesting storytelling in the next film as long as we don't literally see Winston as the devil (lol). I rather like it.
