Amazing show, but the end of season 2 did not convince me [Spoilers]

I do believe they risked a lot creating some fantastic scenes (the train chase) and the explosion of the gas tank on the train... plus the girl drowning... But those were the only negative parts of the show. The rest was fun and flawless drama!

I actually liked that the girl drowned, they were brave enough to kill off a main character, but bringing her back to life, after being dead that long under water was a bit silly.

That said, the drowning scene was pretty unsettling and extremely well done. Don't recall ever seeing one like that which was so graphically harsh. I literally felt each last gasp.

It was well done, but I´m sure while they were editing it the actress' agents were negotiating season 3 :D. I am sure Season 3 will feature Nazis!

reply

It would have to feature the Nazi party. Historically, they were a major force, fighting the communists in the street, etc. Kinda surprised they were mostly alluded to thus far. It's only a couple of years until the Nazis win lots of seats in the election, and Hitler is named Chancellor.

I agree that drowning scene was ridiculous. Not believable at all. Actually I don't think it was even necessary. Instead they could have just shown them getting out of the vehicle right before they went underwater. Or right within 5-6 seconds after they submerged under water. That would have been more plausible. But I think they had to bring her back to life because she was the main part of the show. She may very well have been the reason why this show was as popular as it was.

Apparently what happened to Charlotte is possible.... but... the odds of Gereon knowing how to save her in 1929 is uh less plausible.

reply

I agree with you. For me there is no way that Charlotte survives that, as you say it was unnecessary. Anyway, a good series it is.
