So how did Sarah know the other guy (Phil)doing the killing?

I may have missed that part but how did they know each other ?

All of the sudden she goes along with phil’s Plan to kill everyone.

They are both dead and taken over by the grim reaper or some sort at the same time. They are no longer themselves and need people to die and stay dead. To follow life's plan.
