Dark Avengers, New Avengers and Young avengers

Ok I’ve read a lot of rumors of these three teams joining The MCU very soon.

I find this interesting but insane at the same Time : imagine having three versions of Iron Man, Cap and Thor. Almost at the same noo I don’t mean three Tony Stark, Steve Rogers and The Famous Thor more like..... 9 characters carrying on these mantles.

Sounds quite crazy nooo ? 9 characters taking the places of three.

Young Avengers

Iron Lad- Young Avengers Iron Man
Patriot -Young Avengers Capitan America
Win am I think is Young Avengers Thor

Dark Avengers
Iron Patriot Dark Iron Man
Bullseye- Dark Capitan America
I don’t know here who takes the place of Thor

New Avengers it’s the Avengers we have left carrying on the mantles of the ones we don’t have.

Iron heart or War Machine-Iron Man
Sam Wilson- Capitan America
Valkyrie-Thor

We'll have to see what characters they actually get for these rosters first, assuming these three movies are happening. Also, it might depend on how they stagger them.

For instance, they might do a Dark Avengers for one movie. That movie might end with some heroes taking down their evil counterparts, which sets up New Avengers movie where they fight some other threat. In New Avengers, they might introduce some of the younger heroes and at the end, decide to pass the mantle on to them when some of the heroes die or retire. Then you have a Young Avengers movie.

This could definitely happen. We all know the MCU doesn’t follow the comics at 100% so I could see these changes of one film leading to the other one so we won’t get three versions of Iron Man or Cap almost at the same time.

It could be exciting but a little tiresome. So the way you put sounds more credible.
Than getting those 3 movies( Dark Avengers, Young Avengers and New Avenger) straight away. Faige is more like he would do this things like you just said

Feige said the next few phases will have smaller arcs that carry between films, so it seems like it could be a nice little trilogy.

BTW, I would love to see the Bullseye from Netflix's Daredevil show up as an evil Hawkeye. Sadly, I don't think Feige wants anything to do with the Netflix shows.

True this could be the next Avengers trilogy, though i would prefer them to see them set apart. Each of these teams

So we can have Avengers 5 or New Avengers: a team of 7 heroes left from the other saga.

In Avengers 6 two new heroes join but first are baddies and maybe one dies so we are just left with one additional member to the team

Then we get Civil War 2 with two new heroes joining the MCU

And then the huge event against the Next Thanos saying goodbye the to the main 6 new Avengers.

At 60, I grew up with the original Avengers, DD, Luke Cage, Punisher, Spiderman, etc. I think most boomers my age went to see these movies for that reason.

As they start to introduce newer characters -- ones that boomers aren't familiar with as we gave up the comics decades ago -- I'm curious to know if these movies will continue to do as well as they have done.

Even now I only go to see every second movie at the cinema. I def don't see me going to see movies about characters I don't know. if I'm representative of boomers then these movies won't hit the heights that they have in the past.

I think Dark and New Avengers aren’t that new in the comics, maybe less known than all the original heroes you mention but I think they aren’t teams made in the 00s.

Young Avengers are practically new but the other two teams are pretty old.

Wikipedia tells me the New Avengers first appeared in 2004. That's long past the point where I stopped reading comics -- approx mid-70s.

reply

Well, maybe they can still work all of them. The old characters will always be the best but I guess Marvel was looking to create new characters for new audiences.

Honestly, I'm down for whatever Marvel Studios throws at me. It'll be off seeing three different versions of similar characters, but their abilities I feel like is where the similarities would end. Isn't the Iron Patriot in the Dark Avengers Norman Osborne? Not only that, but I think Spider-Man would take the place of the Iron Man stand-in in a Young Avengers film. Plus, Thor may have named Valkyrie king of Asgard, but he still seems like he's going to play a part in at least a couple movies going forward.

reply

True, their abilities will be the only thing in common with the original 3.

And yeah I’m with you their personalities of all these future heroes and Antiheroes is what will make them standout.
I’m also very interested in all these teams and maybe some time in the future I’d like to see the original 6 together again as part of the Multiverse.

Maybe in phase 5 we will get to see the original team back again with a new cast and we will accept them because they will come from a different earth.

But for now I’m in with these three teams to happen.
