300 million looks out of reach. People"s expectations were getting WAAAAY out of control.
I think all the hyperventilating about "pre-sales" created too high expectations. Will be interesting to see if it can match Infinity War's opening.

It's too early to tell just WHERE this is going to land.
Like you pointed out...this may be frontloaded. It could be this sells the same amount as IW on opening weekend...they just saw it as early as possible.
As far as the early call of 43 million...Deadline has NEVER done an early read like that. They usually include their guestimate for the west coast business in their number. Clearly they were just giving the raw totals up to that point.
I assumed(wrongly) that they were doing business as usual with their early read.
Like I said...it may do IW numbers this weekend with more frontloading from Thursday previews as so many fans want to escape spoilers as this is the grand finale.

In the first Fail, I can at least somewhat understand why You say "300 M is out of reach" after WRONGLY and Prematurely reporting EG made 43 M, You clearly ONLY read the title of the article where you saw 43 Million...you then got very excited and wanted to post a troll thread as fast as possible and simply never read the full article to know the 43 M was only reporting Half the Nights box office...
So even though its a complete embarrassment for you and you clearly only have yourself to blame, since you Prematurely Jumped the gun and thought EG was coming at 43
