Guys sorry if I didnt pay enough attention if it is explained in the movie. But why didnt Thanos rightout killed Thor since he was weak at the beggining of the movie?
And I appologise if there was already another topic on this forum about this
Thanos' whole "thing" was about culling half the universe, so you can say he had already beaten Thor so there was no need to just murder him since he (Thor) didn't have the stone.
Thinking it over, did Thanos outright kill anyone unless it was to get the stone from them? He didn't kill the Hulk when he could've, didn't kill Drax or Mantis or Star-Lord. Heimdall was the one outright kill, I think.
He had the chance to kill multiple heroes but didn't. The only times he directly killed in this movie was when it meant getting a Stone (Gamora and Vision) or when a character pissed him off on a personal level (Loki and Heimdal). He seemed to be focused on the mission at hand and didn't feel the need waste time making sure everyone was good and dead.
