Try not to cry

When you see the tribute to Stan Lee at the start of the film. It's very well done. Also the pattern of post credit scenes has continued and you only need to see the first one, the second is silly and adds very little to the story.

Thanks for the heads-up tanyalawrence. Still, I'll probably stay to the end of the credits as I've done with the other MCU films. I don't feel that I've seen the whole movie until I've seen the post-credits sequence, however pointless and silly it may be.

About half of the audience of the showing I was in cheered and applauded when "Thank You, Stan" popped up. I mentally applauded since I was holding my popcorn and didn't want to spill it everywhere. I'm thinking we might get that opening again for Avengers 4 and maybe Spider-Man: Far From Home. We should. I think all 2019 Marvel movies should included it at the start. It shouldn't be for one movie. I'm thinking that like in 2025 or so when people go back and re-watch Captain Marvel, the tribute might seem a little "out of place" because everyone has moved on and maybe forgotten the exact year Stan Lee passed away and that Captain Marvel was pretty much the first Disney MCU movie after he passed away. So they should at least do it for all of 2019 and maybe some of 2020.

I cried .... when I realized that Marvel was still using Stan Lee’s ghost to pretend one corporate lackey created all of those billion dollar intellectual properties.

That was a great tribute to the creator of these characters. Very moving.
