They are leaving it like that? (Spoilers)

Season three is over and that is how they are leaving it?

One more episode, bring resolution to the story - don't attack the fans by having it end this way.

Was last week’s episode the finale?

Last evenings episode Moon, I don't know where you are in the story and so don't want to spoil anything needlessly for you.

I’ve seen up to where amenadiel gets his wings back. New eps where I am are on Monday nights(tonight).

reply

OK, I won't go any further with this with you at the moment Moon.

It is a very good episode you've got to look forward to!

I hope they do, I had no idea it was not renewed for s4. After that ending, it is just where I had hoped things would get even better, but to find this, I'm gutted. :(

Hopefully the social media wave is something listened to.

"The creators of the show knew it was on the bubble and so wrote an ending to the season they thought would force a renewal"

Would that work? It doesn't seem like the soulless monsters that are TV execs would care one way or the other how a show ended if their precious ratings weren't what they wanted.

It has never been worked. It's been tried many times and the network has never once said, "oh, they got us by the short and curlies!" Furthermore, there's been a few instances of a show being given a few more episodes, or a few tv movies, in order to wrap things up. And yet the writers continue to end things on a cliffhanger rather than send the show off. Like with Pretender. Some showrunners just refuse to let things go. And maybe they're right to do so, maybe they'd never get another job in Hollywood again without their show, who knows.

What? it ended great!
I saw just the title of your thread accidentally a couple weeks ago and watched the last half a season thinking "well i know it dosent end nicely ... be prepared"
And in the end it was perfect-ish. They got Cain , Chloe finally saw the truth ....
And then there were 2 extra episodes to wind down with ...

reply

The two extra episodes were a nice touch. Particularly the second one.

This thread was made prior to the two extra episodes were announced Mark and so, upon reflection, I think the second extra episode narrated by God (The creator Neil Gaiman) ended the story well enough.

I really enjoyed the miss Lopez episode too - it was nice to see her get an episode all about her - and it ended so well for her !
