I thought putting a kid in the movie was a boo-boo. There are some movies that kids simply don't belong in and this is one of them.

He did well and, to Shane Black's credit, it wasn't just throwing a kid in there for its own sake. The character added something interesting to the narrative.
Nothings wrongs with the kids acting its just a kid being in this movie takes away from the horror as we all know the kids going to be immune to danger.
