Can't let go of the idea that everything is just a big media stunt.
1. Make a trailer with an uncanny bad Sonic
2. Fans would shout and scream
3. As a bonus get a lot of media mention
4. Spam social media with "we've heard you"
5. Publish shortly after a new trailer with the "real" Sonic
6. Profit?
Smart maneuver....people are learning from The Last Jedi, I see
sharethere's no new trailer with the "real" sonic, is there? the movie is supposed to come out in half a year already, so it's going to be rather expensive and risky to re-render all the cgi shots.
