Why do comedies play rape for laughs when it involves a guy?

Yeah I know you find out that Marcus didn't actually get raped, but until then when he thought Kyla had sex with him, it wasn't consensual because he didn't even know what was going on.

On the bright side, unlike Wedding Crashers where Vince Vaughn's character actually was raped and it was played for laughs, Marcus wasn't actually raped.
