1 out of 10.

The Orphanage. Which is a film by the same director is a classic in my book. A solid 8 out of 10 and in my top 50 movies released post 2000. Which is why I had big expectations for this one.

But it ended up beening a total garbage that copy/pastes tons of other movies (and whats up with all the giants in films lately The BFG, Pete's Dragon to name a few) throw in ton of cheap CGI which the "modern teen audience" loves so much. Lets also throw in the typical cancer topic while we are at it for the ultimate Oscar BAIT of a film which ends up BEGGING for your sympathy and empathy for its lack in everything.

One of the biggest let downs of the year.

I never understood why haters spend so much time dissing films... If you don't like it, fine... But don't spoil everyone else's enjoyment.

Unless of course you consider your drivel a "review".... in which case, your review is far worse than this "total garbage"...

Movies you gave a 1/10 :

Kubo and the two strings, Frozen, The Empire strikes back, Brooklyn, Bridge of Spies, The King's Speech, The Shawshank Redemption, The Godfather, Spotlight, Sicario, The Green Mile, Singin' in the Rain, 12 Years a Slave, Warrior...

And too many to count.

You gave a 1/10 to shows like: Parks and Recreation, Community and Adventure Time.

You also gave a 1/10 to pretty much every Ghibli films you've seen.

Either you're a troll or you have very poor taste.

One thing for sure, you're not bringing anything to anyone except misplaced negativity, that's for sure, because to not find one good thing in those movies or shows is, well, knowing nothing about movies.

Well done. This is one of the biggest reasons I miss IMDb, being able to see such user context.

Your post suggests that the film is just that... a film. The point is that the film is based on the book written by Patrick Ness published in 2011, and based on an idea by author Siobhan Dowd. I suggest that you are wrong, Patrick Ness put his thoughts onto paper so was not copying/pasting from "tons of other movies".

Yeah, you're completely underrating this. If you think this is just a typical cancer story then you were asleep through most of it. This is about as mature a coming of age story i've seen in a very long time. And cheap CGI? Now I know you're just BS-ing.

Trying to create a channel based on interpreting, reviewing, and even giving you something to laugh about film. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance.

It hit a chord with me and my partner as we've recently been in the same situation as the boy. We've lost someone to cancer. We thought it was thought provoking and moving. The boy was good in it too.

To rate this movie 1 out of 10 makes you look like a moron with no soul. Sorry but it's true.
