Does Luke seem . . .

. . . stronger in this show than in Jessica Jones? She put him in a coma with a shotgun blast, but here he has taken a lot of bullets all over his body like he didn't feel it.

The shotgun blast at close range to the head rattled the brain a little too much. Since it would have killed any normal man, i think a coma is certainly impressive.

The writers of Jessica Jones didn't seem to care that much about super powers. Both Jessica and Luke seemed barely superhuman at times.

That’s the point. Cage’s skin is impenetrable and nothing can go through him. In Jessica Jones he barely showed off his powers (it made sense not to show his full abilities, if you ask me), however in his own show he had to show off what he was really capable of. NOTHING can break the guy.

Of course, in JJ the shotgun blast put him in a pretty bad shape. The reason for that is even though Cage’s skin is unbreakable, the force of the gunshot still rattled his brain around his skull. He was shot in the head at very close range after all. Now, this does deviate from the Luke Cage comics because Luke could easily stand a shot like that. So JJ took its liberties with this scene while staying true to the unbreakable skin aspect; the shot obviously affected him but it bounced off him. Besides, Luke never took a shotgun blast in this show as he did in Jessica Jones.
