besides this, which other version of this novel should I try?

This is the first version I’ve ever seen and I’m now curious to try others. Which one do you guys think are the best ?

You need the 1933, 1949, and 1994 to even get what's going on in this version. It was made for people who have read the book and seen all three of these movies.

I’m gonna try the others. I’m highly interested in the 1994 version. The cast looks really interesting with Young Winona Ryder as Jo and Kristen dunst as younger Amy.

My biggest interest is in a very young Christian Bale as Laurie. I can’t picture him as a teen love interest.

The 1949 and 1994 versions are both very good (and the older one is in Technicolor, so don't panic about black-and-white).
