Why did the cowgirl act helpless once her fiddle was broken?

She clearly didn't need an instrument in her first encounter with Devoe when she just blasted him back with her hands, and when she blasted Ralph against the wall to escape. So why was it in her big final encounter with Devoe she acted as if her powers was gone once that fiddle was busted?

I thought the same thing.I didn't even understand the point of the fiddle to begin with. She didn't need it to use her powers.

Yeah i didn't get why they suddenly gave her some tiny fiddle to use her powers with either after she'd just displayed she can beat Devoe without it. I guess they figured she could harness her powers through the fiddle and make her blasts more direct, i dunno, but it still doesn't explain why she acted as if there was nothing she could do once that fiddle was busted, she didn't need it before.

And i didn't get why they had her training either, breaking plates, blasting Ralph while he stood there and took it. Its not like her Powers was that complicated or Devoe was some speedster, she clearly had a grasp on her powers and knew how to use them.

It's a show for kids, so the writers think the audience is too dumb to notice their lazy writing.
