Season 6 "Gene" Predictions/Speculation

So this season,we left off with him getting made by the cab driver, calling Ed for an "adapter",then changing his mind & saying he'll handle it himself. How do you think that will play out?

Also, how far past BB are we with Gene? Months ? Years? I'm guessing it's got to be a couple of years at least.

Bump! Anyone ? Someone ?

As far as the question of how far past BB we are with Gene, it's apparently 2012/13. (The S05 opener where he switches plates on his car the exp tag is 2013)

After saul takes care of the black mailer he will go back to albuquerque and fight his case in court with his "special" legal skills.

I think that probably this season will open w/ the longest Gene sequence yet ( each season's Gene opening thus far has gotten progressively longer) and he'll try something w/ the cab driver that ends up going sideways & we're left with a cliffhanger until the final episode which will be all Gene.

Could be that Jeff turns out to be undercover DEA, or has some connection to it.

I agree that the season will probably start with Gene putting his plan into effect and will end with a cliffhanger or uncertainty before we finish Jimmy/Saul's story and then come back to Gene for the series ending. No idea what Gene's plan is going to be, but I'll guess it will be some combination between the talents of "Jimmy" and the talents of "Saul". So...legal and highly motivated meets dishonest/shady.

Then we'll see a postscript with Gene finally dealing with his problems (probably legally). Does he go to jail? I hope not. Does he reunite with Kim? I hope so! I wish for a happy ending for him - or at least not on the run and not in prison. Or maybe he has a short sentence and will serve as a lawyer for unfairly treated prisoners? Just a thought.

I bet the Gene sequence will be one of those where it will technically be the chronological end to the franchise but fans will expect there to be more from the ending that doesn’t come (ie “What year is this?” in Twin Peaks).
