Just watched the first two episodes. I've heard a lot about this series, and wonder if I should keep watching the series. Does it get better with each episode? I like Saul but he seems to always be in a mess. Is this how it goes throughout the series?

I recommend the viewing if you enjoyed his character in that show, because this will reveal how he got there.
You should probably watch Breaking Bad first. And not just because it tells you a lot about Saul's history but mainly because this show is awesome.
shareThe mess gets deeper and deeper and he has to become more and more devious to avoid drowning in it. Or maybe he does drown in it? (Spoilers?)
