I'd like to point out that despite the arbitrary PSR ratings, none of the contestants would have lived long enough to go home if the time frame was doubled. No contestant thrived, they just hung on long enough. Every contestant loses dozens of pounds in a few weeks and look more like concentration camp survivors than survivalists.
You are absolutely correct. Beyond 3 weeks and most people would have starved to death.
