shareShe's attractive, but I've seen prettier actresses than her. Honestly, her raging feminism and letting the little bitch have a say in what costumes she was to wear partially ruined this film for me.
The little hypocrite refused to wear a corset, claiming the same old myth that it was a symbol of the "oppressive patriarchy," despite the fact that corsets were invented by women, all the other women in the cast wore corsets under their costumes (even the peasants), there are feminists out there in the world that have no issues wearing corsets at all, and she apparently has amnesia over that white corset and blouse she wore on the cover of a fashion magazine a few years prior to this film. So she ends up with slouchy, crappy-looking costumes and dresses like a peasant when living in a luxurious castle with the Beast. Her yellow gown was also very boring and lackluster, and her "wedding" dress was so low-key that you didn't even realize she was dancing at her wedding ball with the prince at the end.
Emma also apparently can't act any part other than Hermione or being her usual feminist self, which ruined her Belle character for me. She didn't seem to know how to act any other way besides angry or bored throughout the film, and can't do romance to save her life. She made the ballroom scene where she danced with the Beast feel lifeless and empty, she seemed express no real feelings for the Beast at all besides running away from him or yelling at him, and her crying during the scene when the Beast briefly died looked fake. And don't get me started on her "singing" abilities, good GOD!!
Agreed. She’s cute but nothing else. Still looks like a 12 year old.
