Bwahahaha.... I knew it wasn't going to be perfect.

Why do all these Liberal websites regurgitate the same headlines over and over again?

Cage looks exactly how I would expect as Superman/Clark Kent, and it's not perfect at all.

Other sites do the same thing "(Insert so-and-so name here) is imagined as (insert character role here) and they're perfect!"

Click the link and oftentimes it's a shoddy photoshop or pencil-in job like the Screenrant article but hardly representative of the character. I think maybe once or twice they actually got it right with the fantasy casting/imagining, but Nicholas Cage as Superman? No, just no.

The problem is that Superman has to portray two distinct personalities, and Cage only has access to Nicholas Cage and Nicholas Cage+.

He's either slightly aloof or really crazy, but neither of those work for Superman. As Superman he would have to be friendly, caring, astute, sharp, witty, confident, and sternly adept, while as Clark he would have to be observant, reserved, goofy, and awkward. He might actually be able to pull off the Clark Kent, but the Superman part would be the real tell.

From what I recall, has Cage ever played a character like Superman? Someone wholesome, confident, and empowered? Heck, even John Travolta seems to have captured more Superman-esque qualities (in films like Phenomenon) than Nicholas Cage and he's still a far-cry from a proper Superman casting.

Could have been interesting, but Cage looks nothing like Superman (we have more than eighty years of Superman that have established the type of face, hair, and body).
