What if question here folks:-
If the Coronavirus had been just a wee bit quicker and taken out cinema going just 3/4 months earlier, Disney would have pulled this until Christmas 2020.
With an extra year of potentially further reshoots / post-production could this film have been saved?
You do realize that they are not reshooting the delayed movies, yes? The studios are closer for corona just like the theaters.
sharePerhaps you missed the point of the OP which was from a month ago when the lockdowns were just starting.
The question was really that if Coronavirus had hit and the release had been pulled pre-Christmas, they would have had a prolonged time to look at what they had and maybe decide it wasn't good enough.
Other films have been delayed a full year, so yes, whilst we all get that productions are shut down for now, if it had been delayed until Christmas 2021 that would have left plenty of time for reshoots.
However would that make any difference? Could the story be saved with whatever at this stage?
