Shame on the trolls.

As most of you know, Kelly Marie Tran, who plays Rose in The Last Jedi deleted her social media after hateful, racist, sexist, you name it, comments. We need to show miss Tran that this is NOT who we are. The small minority of crybabies and haters is not who we are or represent. We start a campaign called #forceforkelly, where we leave a message of love and appreciation for her and we apologize on the haters' behalf. Sound good?

Regardless of your opinion on the new films, wishing death on someone is never okay. Hateful comments towards an actor/actress because you don't like a character they played is never okay. Wishing someone out of a job because you don't like how they run things (Kathleen Kennedy) is never okay.

The problem with your well meant approach is that it is based on on unverified assumptions:

- Tran never stated why she left
- The reasons were only given by some account with below 100 followers that is supposed to be fake
- Quitting now +6 months after TLJ when people have mellowed down is a little bit strange, and the new hate-target is that silly robot in the new Solo film anyway;
- this smells like a NDA after the havoc some unreflected comment (pansexual Lando) caused, ie families not taking their children to Solo,
- maybe a publicity diversion tactic from LF marketing devision;
- and is certainly an artificially blown up click-bait media sensation thing to generate views for outlets.

Also, the internet is a nasty place, especially when dealing with B-movie fandoms having a history of hating on their protagonists. If you cannot stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen. We are talking adults here, not 10-year old Jake Lloyd.

Advise: If you want to help do it with those who need it, like starving and mistreated children & refugees or animals, not those with wealth and power, they do not need it.

It's certainly not fair to go after an actor for doing their job, and then attacking them for it, just because the project in question was highly-anticipated but turned out to be a massive disappointment.

I'm reminded of poor Jake Lloyd, whose life was effectively ruined by his involvement in Star Wars. All he did was what the filmmakers wanted him to do, the best he could, and he got crucified for it because the project became hated.

"Wishing someone out of a job because you don't like how they run things (Kathleen Kennedy) is never okay."

Actually, there is nothing wrong with wishing someone out of a job if you feel they are incompetent. I want the GM of my favorite sports team fired all the time, because he doesn't do a good job, lies to the fans, and there is nothing wrong with wanting him fired. It comes with the territory. I have no say in whether he gets fired or not, but I can wish people fired who I feel deserve to be fired all day long and not feel bad about it, and they can do the same to me.

I feel bad for Ms. Tran, and it's not right that people are doing that to her, but being in the public eye opens you up to criticism, whether right or wrong, justified or not. Hopefully she has more of a spine than most people today, and doesn't take criticism from random internet strangers to heart.

Her character in The Last Jedi was terrible, but then again, most of the new characters in the new Star Wars trilogy are terrible.

Kelly Marie Tran needs to grow up and just get over it. If she can't handle a little constructive criticism then she needs to just pack it up and not be in anymore Star Wars movies (which I would be totally OK with). There's an old saying "if you can't stand the heat you'd better stay out of the kitchen"

reply

Are you saying a woman's place is in the kitchen? You sexist!

reply

Uh no it's an expression dumbass, if she can't take the criticism then she should stay out of the public eye.

I can also tell you that her temper tantrums are not helping her public image or her reputation

reply

Get off the internet and back to the kitchen.
Don't come back without a beer and a sandwich.

There has been no statement made by Kell Marie Tran about why her pictures are gone. It is all media speculation meant to divide people.
