Jon Favreau's new live action series

Do you guys think it will take place in the PT, OT or ST? Or anywhere in between?
They have announced so many things already (Rian Johnsons trilogy, David Benioff and D. B. Weiss movies and now Jon Faveau's series) its kinda sad they haven't announced what its all about. Its Solo and then Episode 9 next year. After that, who knows? Maybe they step away from the annual releases of Star Wars. Before TLJ they were all hyped up and announcing stuff left and right. Now its only directors they announce, not story ideas.

I hope they do shed some light on what kind of stories we can expect from all these people and when we get to see the first new thing.

They probably have no idea.

It does feel kinda weird that they would announce at least 5 movies (Rian's trilogy and the D&D movies, which they said was a 'series of movies' so that would mean at least 2 of them) without any more info on them. For them to then proceed to announce a tv series just feels like they are firing all of their ammo. Its hard to get exited for all these announcements when they have no further info to them.

I love Jon Favreau and I love Game Of Thrones, so I am looking forward to what D&D bring to the table. But since I have no idea what we will be getting and when, I can only read this news and go like 'okay, cool' and move on.

They are suppose to have at least 1 more spinoff after episode 9 right? The one that Josh Trank was suppose to direct? Because thats in 2 years and we have no info yet. Not even a director announcement.
Its like they are doing the exact opposite of Marvel, and not plan anything out at all. which shouldn't be so surprising, since they didn't even plan out their current trilogy...

They're not going to announce the full on SJW hijacking of Star Wars. They have to keep it a secret as long as possible.

Something to look forward to.

Surprised they picked Jon as he's already had issues working with Marvel in the past about competing visions of how to make a film fit in the overall whole of a franchise. But he's one of the greatest filmmakers we got in the visual blockbuster medium. And his track record and attitude is pretty on point.

I think we could expect character driven, humorous stories that focus on realistic adventure of regular joes rather than any jedi stuff.

Considering how volatile and vocal Star Wars fans are, I doubt they'll ever let the public know their plans in advance ever again. But i'm sure they have a good idea behind closed doors what all these projects will be about.

I know this thread's two years old, but I had to take the time to say this is a nice call.

Nice! Well, even a broken clock is right twice a day. What other Nostradamus predictions have I forgotten about....
