Morality breaking down?

Because it shows how most people would behave, when there are no one around to actually uphold the law and ordering people how to behave and punish those who misbehave.
But hey, there is even an utter lack of the National Guard, U.S Army and U.S Marines in this movie, who normally in a huge crisis situation such as this, would be mobilized to maintain peace and order.

It would be insanely chaotic around the world, night or day, if suddenly people you knew disappeared before your very eyes.

You would immediately find out that all the people who always say “I’m a good person” aren’t actually very good. They were judging themselves by their standards, not God’s. A life built on sand would cause fear to set in, and society would quickly break down. Need evidence? A flu-like virus just came through and it caused panic, hoarding, and government over-reach.
