During one scene, and old clip from MTV is playing on the television. It was a VJ discussing court cases about sampling songs without permission.
Near the end of the movie, they played 'Under Pressure' by David Bowie and Queen.
That song was what caused the previously mentioned court cases, when Vanilla Ice sampled a guitar bit from that song in his song 'Ice, Ice Baby' without permission and Bowie/Queen took him to court.
Yeah, I connected the dots. It was an ingenious touch, if I do say so myself.
