What Happened to Joan Cusack's "Barb" character?

I just got the movie and "Barb" doesn't even appear..what scenes is she in JOan Cusack is another very funny actress..)

She was Wanda Sykes' ex-special ops friend. I didnt even know it was her until the credits.

BTW After I wrote that, oh, say, five MONTHS ago, I saw her and heard the name mentioned.:)

She totally looked different. I had deleted off my DVR and had to go online to see a closeup. Too bad no voice, I love her voice. I wonder if there's a reason she didn't talk. (other than plot reason)

I wondered about other reasons for her muteness. Esp. after Sykes' funny hate-take after Emily asks her if someone couldn't torture Barb to write down any classified info.

I was sorry more wasn't made of Sykes' and Cusack's characters, esp. after the big build-up of Barb's powers.

Maybe it was comedic jealousy by Schumer? The few lines Sykes had were gems. I especially laughed at her character's line emphasizing that Barb & Ruth's relationship was platonic.

Sykes is the modern day LaWanda Page ("Aunt Esther" on "Sanford & Son")

I did recognize her - asked the lady with me if it was Joan Cusack. She'd seen the film before & said yes.

I was hoping for more scenes with Barb in action. After the big buildup, I figured she was going to kick some ass in wonderful ways. Nope, just the (impressive) fence climb and flip off the truck... which she could've done immediately after getting stuck up there.

Her and Sykes' characters could've carried their own movie, IMHO. But I'm a Sykes fan (acting & comedy, not politics) and I know that could be a minority of film-goers.
