Why would Shaw trust David?

... after his actions in Prometheus?

reply

Because Shaw never knew David was the one who put the black goo in her boyfriend's drink, dumbass. At the end of Prometheus, everyone else is dead, except for David, so Shaw didn't have any other option but to trust David.

Do you think before you talk?

reply

She knows David was working for Weyland and what Weyland's motives really were ... making David complicit with everything that happened in 'Prometheus'.

You seem angry. Maybe it's time for you to take a break from the internet?

At the end of Prometheus, Shaw tells David she wants to meet Engineers and get answers. David tells Shaw he knows how to operate Engineers' ship. Everyone else is dead. No help coming. What do you expect Shaw to do?

People complain just to complain. Stupid af.

reply

Not reattach his head to his functioning body.

Not allow him the freedom to roam the ship.

Not trust him.

Little things like that...

reply

Yea I just realized Alien covenant just pulled an Alien 3 by killing off the only surviving protagonist left from Prometheus. Thats actually worse then alien 3 in that it left the main protagonist alive at the beginning.

reply

Ok. Then Shaw would've been stuck on LV223 forever all by herself. A much better ending. Well done.

reply

No, she wouldn't have been, since we see her reattach David's head after the ship has left LV223...

reply

Right. David and Shaw leave LV223 after David tells Shaw he knows how to operate Engineers' ship. Dumb fuck.

Which is why I said if Shaw never trusted David, she would've never left LV223.

Do you think before you talk?

reply

I'm not sure what that has to do with:

Not reattach his head to his functioning body.

Not allow him the freedom to roam the ship.

Not trust him.

... while on the Engineer's ship, since Shaw managed to launch and fly the ship, presumably with assistance from David's detached head.

Considering she was already in space and on the way to her destination, she was under no obligation to reassemble David or let him roam around the ship. Taking into account that she knew he worked for Weyland and helped his scheme that led to the deaths of the entire crew, it seems strange that she would do this.

English obviously isn't your first language, so I hope my point is clear.

Retard, most of the Prometheus crew's deaths are not David's fault. The only bad thing David did was when he put the black goo in Shaw's boyfriend's drink. Most of the things David has done in Prometheus were Peter Weyland's orders.

After Peter dies, David is free.

David even warns Shaw when the Engineer was heading towards her way to kill her.

Shaw leaves LV223 all thanks to David because David told her he knew how to operate an Engineer's ship.

Shaw reattaches David's head to his body to return a favor.

Peter is dead so there are no more orders for David to follow.

Wtf are you arguing about? Do you complain just to complain? At this rate, you sound like you're just grasping at straws because a movie doesn't turn out how you expected.

reply

"After Peter dies, David is free."

LOL what? Peter Weyland dying means he can't issue direct commands to David - his death doesn't mean that all of David's programming and personality are magically reset. Obviously the synthetics have a large degree of autonomy.

"Shaw reattaches David's head to his body to return a favor."

Maybe in your fan-fiction, because nothing in the film indicates she was "returning a favor".

Btw, I don't know what you are so angry about. The only person "arguing", "complaining just to complain" and "grasping at straws" is you.

I said most of the things David has done in Prometheus were Peter's orders. Can you not read?

Maybe in your fan-fiction, because nothing in the film indicates she was "returning a favor".

And nothing in Prometheus indicates androids have a "large degree" of autonomy. Keep cherry picking fucktard. You're doing a fine job.

Lmao bro. You're the one who's making up all these retarded complaints about this movie and your complaints are explained in the movie. Shaw literally asks David "Why should I trust you?" And David tells Shaw, without him, she would never be able to leave LV223. Which is why I said you "complain just to complain". How tf am I complaining when I'm the one who's answering your stupid questions? You make zero sense, you know that?

Do you get it now? Talk about ESL rofl.

reply

Your multiple, straw-grasping, Tourette's-riddled arguments so far include:

1) She needs him to fly the ship.

"Without him, she would never be able to leave LV223!"

As I said, trusting David to give her the right directions doesn't mean reassembling him and allowing him free reign of the ship, where he could overpower her.

2) David is an awesome guy:

"Retard, most of the Prometheus crew's deaths are not David's fault. The only bad thing David did was when he put the black goo in Shaw's boyfriend's drink. Most of the things David has done in Prometheus were Peter Weyland's orders. After Peter dies, David is free. David even warns Shaw when the Engineer was heading towards her way to kill her."

Michael Fassbender isn't going to marry you, man. David is not the hero of "Prometheus".

David was responsible for Shaw having an octopus inside her, took her crucifix and tormented her ("It must feel like your God abandoned you"), even after she survived pulling the alien from her own stomach ("I didn't think you had it in you ... sorry, poor choice of words").

When Shaw says they don't how Holloway got infected, whether the virus is in the air, David replies "it's not". Shaw asks him, "how did you know that?" to which David just smirks.

David warns Shaw about the Engineer because he's a severed head on the floor and she's the last human survivor. I'm not sure why you'd even bring that up. David doesn't want to die. Duh...

"Shaw reattaches David's head to his body to return a favor". LOL! Yeah, in the logic of your fan-fiction, he gave her directions and in return she forgot about the killing of Holloway, putting an alien octopus inside her, drugging her for cryo sleep instead of helping her remove it, and mocking her devout religion.

lmao, rofl, etc...

reply

1). sigh Shaw still needed David's help when they were on an Engineer ship dumb fuck. If you watch the prologue, The Crossing, Shaw goes to hypersleep. Who do you expect to operate the ship while Shaw is sleeping? David's severed head?

2). Wtf kind of stupid arguments are these??? Bro how many times do I have to tell you? Shaw never knew David put the black goo in her boyfriend's drink. Oh no, David said some mean things to Shaw after her boyfriend's death. So what? That doesn't tell Shaw that David was the one who put the black goo in her boyfriend's drink. No one from the Prometheus crew even knew David brought the black goo on the ship.

You keep saying Shaw shouldn't have trusted David because he put the black goo in Shaw's boyfriend's drink when I told you countless times, Shaw never knew about the black goo on board.

David warns Shaw about the incoming Engineer because David doesn't want to die? Die by what? The Engineer? The Engineer walked away and wasn't aware David was still alive after the Engineer tore David's head off. Why would the Engineer search for David's head on a massive ship after killing Shaw?

And why do you keep bringing up the fact that David mocked Shaw's religion? Wtf does that have anything to do with not trusting David? Talk about cherry picking.

lmao, rofl, etc...

I know. Your arguments are hilariously stupid. Don't need to tell me twice.

reply

I maybe miss remembering here but I'm pretty sure David never really did anything harmful in Prometheus.

1. He saved Shaw and Holloway from the storm.

2. He never physically harmed anybody.

3. He only gave Holloway the goo based on Wayland's orders... and didn't know what it would do.

4. Warned Shaw about the attacking engineer.

I'm pretty sure Shaw asked why she would help David and he simply replies because he can get her off the ship. The trailer that really was better than the film itself showed Shaw and David getting along on the long journey and even caring for one another.

That's one of the things that bug me most about Convenant.. David is portrayed as super evil and self-absorbed. While in Prometheus his actions are ambiguous and curious.. much better character.

reply

because this movie makes no sense.
