WTF happened in the end??

How did a full grown alien get into the ship?? or did Birchirs character get an egg from that failed facehugger atempt? if that is the case, how come it became a huge alien in like minutes??? lazy bad writing like everything in this movie...like how the fuck could David color his hair the exact color that walter had?? did he have a full on shopping mall with alot of hair dying colors down there in his creepy base?? fuckin mess of a movie this was and I really enjoyed Prometheus and the enginners alot...this wasnt a good follow up, it was a fuckin horrible mess of a movie...Ridley Scott is such an overrated shit when it comes to movie making....he had one decent movie with Alien and one great with Gladiator...everything else he has done is total garbage...I know Blade Runner is a cult movie but it aint a good movie to be honest...thank good he doesnt have anything to do with BR 2049....

The whole thing is basically a mess a bad characters and half-assed ideas basically.

I'm trying to go for an engaging, funny youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see. Thanks in advance. A review of the movie here-https://youtu.be/fyYgj2Fpur0

I totally agree with you about BladeRunner ... it was mediocre at best.

Just my reaction to it. It was a great action movie with science fictiony setting, but like a lot of movies ... say "Screamers" it was good, I just do not think it was great. For me, what makes a movie great is that you can watch it many times and still see something in it or get something out of it. Great movies are rare.

Comparing "Blade Runner" to "Alien" ... and it is hard to justify calling "Alien" great - but it was. "Alien" was so totally new in so many ways, and very visceral. What it lacked up for in depth it made up for in mystery.

Hey Ralph, yeah I agree. It's one of those movies I didn't get swept up in the first time but then saw it again a couple years later and found it was way more thoughtful than I remember. excited to see what the sequel can do.

What is wrong with you ... my opinion is my opinion, quit being such a baby that you have to try to get everyone to agree with you. What an ass. I saw the movie when it came you dunderhead, I've had a long time to think about it, maybe when you grow up you'll see how childish you are.

Why ask me a question about my opinion when you are merely going to argue with me? Just say you disagree, don't waste my time.

David's hair is naturally brown.
His roots were brown, he cut off the blonde part.

But i still dont know how did the switch. His hand was melted off like Walters.
Maybe he disable Walter and took his body. Idk.

Blade Runner is a great Movie, a masterpiece.

It just did.

He just did.

Yeah, pretty close to my opinion. Scott has talent, he is great in somethings, but he cannot keep from having multiple aspects of his movie crap all over the movie so what could be a good movie always has so many problems who cares about it anymore.

Yea thats pretty much it. You see his chest exploded in the medlab right before the shower scene. The hole in the chest is small indicating a typical chestbuster but alien in the shower is already 8 feet tall. o idea.

reply

ok then crc32....if thats the case, then how the fuck did the Ailen become that big in like minutes? damn...this movie had some lazy shit writing....

reply

I just said I had no idea but the alien that popped out of the medical bay is the same one that attacked the shower. You even see its path on the computer map as it was approaching the showers from the medical area. I agree that was pretty bad logic where it seems like they wern't even trying.

I saw the boot leg and it turns out the Alien had an extra 8 hours to burst and grow, Tenese mentions to Danials that "He shutdown Muthur for 8 bells for diagnostics". I took that to mean 8 hours. 8 hours later muther is waking up danials about an unknown lifeform in the medbay. Not sure why a full grown alien was still hanging around in the medbay though.

reply

Correction the actual statement was "Muthur will be back online at 8 bells" I guess that means 8 in the morning based on what ever time they were using. So the creature had over night to hatch and grow. It does seem like a coincidence that muther wakes up danials right when its moving towards the showers.

I rewatched the film (once in the theater and the other off a cam video) and I was misteken earlier. I originally thought they implied a chestbuster grew to adult size instantly but I'm speculating now that the alien we thought was thrown from the crane. We see stuff flying from the ship during the alleged crane throw but we can't see the alien being thrown away. :/

Some how made it back to ship and wasn't thrown and some how landed back on the ship. It later attacks burch in the medbay leaving a small hole in his chest.

reply

No, they implied it growing to full size almost instantly - which is yet another fuckup in this clusterfuck of a movie.

Was the same with all the various alien creatures - they had a growth to full size in minutes. Not hours. Not days. Minutes. I mean, come the fuck on.

reply

Mother was down till 8 bells which I guess is 8 in the morning. When mother came back online it detected the then full grown alien. IE the alien grew up over night.

reply

Look at the growth rate of the "proto aliens". Minutes.

Look at the growth rate of the first alien, from the dear captain. Minutes.

Also look at facehugger time to fully grown Alien in the first movie - that shit didn't happen in mere hours "over night".

This was a typical gore/horror scifi, that could have been a mediocre film standing alone, if it wasn't an Alien movie. I expect Alien movies to be consistent and intelligently written. This was neither. I'm so very dissappointed. :/

So how long do you think it took the original alien from Alien(1979) to grow? All we saw was the burial then the cattle prod scene then they start hunting the Alien.
