I just started the final season... It is any good? (NO spoilers!)

More 20 episodes left seems a bit too far, to me. What did you think of Season 6, it is a worth watching?

SPOILER:

After Ragnar's death, it went worse and it honestly feels empty. But I don't find it boring or unwatchable during watching, you just quickly forget after you finish the episode. Does anyone feel the same way?

I enjoyed the final season. We finally figure out what happened to Floki since his disappearance was quite mysterious.

I agree that the show suffered after Ragnar's death. Ivar is a villain who stuck around way too long but I think Bjorn is a cool character. Rollo, Lagertha and Floki also added a lot to the show during the early seasons.

Spoiler!:

Just finished last week. It's so weird to watch last 10 episodes without the OG characters. But the only good thing that I'm finally done with this show lol.

How is that “lol”?

I quit after Ragnar died. I tried to push forward but just couldn't do it. It wasn't the same show and wasn't nearly as entertaining.

In fact, even the last season with Ragnar was kind of lame. I think once they stretched the seasons from 10 eps to 20 that it went from a tightly written, focused show to an unfocused mess with a lot of filler.

The first two seasons especially will always be magic.

It was truly entertaining and good until Ragnar died. To be honest, the last two seasons feels like you're watching different show. It wasn't hard to sit and watch until the end, but I just couldn't care what will next happen. I just wanted to get over with this show. There were few good surprises, and the cinematography/shots are still amazing, but that's it. However, it has too many plot holes and new characters.

I'm not going to spoil you, but they made one of the best Vikings scenes ever in the last season.

There's probably about a 1% chance at best that I ever go back and finish it, but I'll keep that in mind. Like I said, I thought the show started seriously declining even before Ragnar died, as soon as they switched to 20-episode seasons. I think the writers just didn't know how to handle that.

But hey, who knows, maybe one day I'll say to myself, "Fuck it, I'm finally ready to go back and finish Vikings."
