I think it's just trying to be 'Hamilton' but reach the Christian audience.

It's a comedy, but it's also many things: a drama, a pastiche, a spoof, all part of the story of a man who decides he'll try to be a fake Jesus to run a little money-making scam off of, but then discovers for himself the way, the truth and the life---though not in the most conventional or even normal of ways. Basically, it's definitely worth seeing it you like weird, unpredictable, experimental indie films. And it has absolutely nothing to do with any "ragebait" or whatever you're talking about.
