How does this fit in the Spider-Man and Marvel franchises?

After so much Spider-Man, Amazing Spiderman and so on, what's this? Another reboot? And why is Iron Man in here? Is this any sequel to any other movie, or will it have sequels to it? Thanks in advance.

It's a reboot set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it glossed over Spider-Man's origin, since most people know by now that he was bitten by a spider and lost his uncle Ben.

This takes place after Captain America: Civil War, and many of the events of that movie are referenced in this one. Since Iron-Man recruited Spider-Man in Civil War, he serves as a mentor/fatherly-figure in this movie. I think we can assume that Spider-Man will return in future Marvel movies.

Thanks, you've been helpful.

Spider-Man appears in the trailer for Infinity War, and a sequel to Homecoming has been confirmed.

Nothing completely new to add, but in Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man finally got to appear in the big Marvel Cinematic Universe. And even though it may feel like we've gotten enough Spider-Man movies already, his introduction into the MCU was sorta seen as a big deal, especially since this new actor delivered big time.

Needles to say, we'll absolutely be seeing more of this Spider-Man!
