Does this show need a 2nd season?

I finished season 1 last night. I assumed season 2 would be a new mystery but from the comments on this board, it looks like season 2 is about the court case against Joe Miller which I'm not interested in watching. Am I wrong about season 2? Is there a new mystery to watch?

The second season is also about the Sandbrook case--the case that caused Hardys troubles. So in a way it is also a "new" mystery.

The second season is a bit to crammed with new people and just hasn't enough time to properly introduce them -for the court cases and for the Sandbrook murders.

Hardy and Miller continue to be an intriguing team and there are some great scenes. And the Sandbrook case gets solved.

Thanks for the response. I think I'll try season 2.

The second episode of the second season reached Prison Break levels of absurdity, but then the show calmed down a bit and found a decent rhythm by the end. Worth watching... and hopefully the third will be as good as the first.

I'm stopping at season one. I'm not interested in watching the court case. The finish to season one was satisfying enough for me. And after reading some of the comments on season two, I'm just not interested anymore. Some have commented that the prosecution was inept and some rather absurd things happened and I just don't care to see that. Actually, the show lost me when Mark Latimer visited Joe Miller in jail. I can't imagine why that would be allowed.

It somewhat feels like 13 Reasons Why season 2 which makes me feel like a sudden last minute addition because they couldn't think of any other storyline.
