What do you call the kind of humor this show uses?

This show can sometimes be very funny. But it never has jokes, it's never slap sticky. The humor comes from people forced into tough situations and making the best of it. Often with very stark ripping one liners. Which are again, not funny on their own. They're usually quite mean. They're only funny for us, the outside viewer. Or how a situation will go completely tits up and unravel to disastrous consequences. And for some reason it's a delight for the viewer to watch. What's the name for that kind of humor, i've never been able to really define it.
